In detail

How Documents & printing works

What does the document library include?

The library holds company files in folders with tags, previews and comments. Access follows the same permission model as the rest of Dino ERP, and legal holds can protect documents from deletion.

  • Folders and tags
  • Preview
  • Comments
  • Legal-hold protection

Can I attach files and comments to ERP records?

Yes. Every record, such as a customer, order, invoice or employee, has an attachments panel and a comments thread. Access is checked against the parent record’s permission, so someone who cannot view the record cannot see its files.

How do print layouts work?

For each document type you set page size, logo, bank details, signature blocks and the order of blocks, and you can save named templates. Layouts can be right-to-left, which suits Arabic documents.

  • Per-document layouts
  • Saved templates
  • Logo, bank details, signatures
  • Right-to-left option

Can I e-mail a document directly from Dino ERP?

Yes. From any record you can download the PDF or e-mail it to the customer or supplier through your configured mail server. E-mail and WhatsApp templates let you reuse standard wording.

How are documents controlled and audited?

Uploads are validated, files are stored through the API’s file storage, and attachment access and changes follow permissions and the audit trail. Records on legal hold cannot have their attachments deleted.

How do documents tie into approvals and communication?

Approval panels sit on the same documents you print, and the communications panel on customer, supplier and other records shows e-mails and WhatsApp messages alongside attachments.
