In detail

How Customer & supplier portals works

What can customers do in the portal?

Customers can view their orders, invoices and statements, accept or decline quotations, raise and follow tickets, and see advance payments. They can pay invoices online when you have configured a payment gateway.

  • Orders, invoices and statements
  • Quotation accept or decline
  • Tickets
  • Advance payments

What can suppliers do in the portal?

Suppliers can acknowledge purchase orders, send advance shipping notices (ASNs) and submit invoices against your orders. Their responses land in purchasing for your team to review.

How do online invoice payments work?

Payment runs through Stripe, Razorpay or PayPal using your own gateway account, with credentials stored encrypted. A successful payment posts to finance and allocates against the invoice automatically. Refunds through the gateway are not automated.

How do I invite and control portal users?

You send invitations from the staff side and assign portal roles that control what each external user can see. An activity log records what portal users do.

Is the portal separate from the staff login?

Yes. Portal users have their own tokens, scopes and rate limits, and are not staff users. They never receive ERP permissions, and they see only the records tied to their own account.

Can I brand the portal as my own?

Yes. Branding settings let you apply your logo and look, consistent with the white-label model. The portal has no language picker yet.

FAQ

Customer & supplier portals: questions buyers ask

Can customers pay invoices from the portal?

Yes, through Stripe, Razorpay or PayPal, once you have connected your own gateway account.

Do suppliers need a licence?

No. A Dino ERP purchase is a one-time licence for your installation, and you invite as many portal users as you need.

Can a portal user see another customer’s data?

No. Access is scoped to the portal user’s own customer or supplier account.

Is the portal available in Hindi or Arabic?

Not yet. The staff interface supports English, Hindi and Arabic, but the portal has no language picker.

Does the portal need a payment gateway?

Only for online invoice payment. Orders, statements, quotations, tickets and supplier features work without one.
