What does the rental module in Dino ERP do?

It covers the whole hire cycle: rental items, rate cards, a pricing quote, a rental quotation, an order, handover to the customer, return with inspection, and billing. Extensions, deposits and rental reports are included. Everything is linked to the customer and to the rest of the ERP.

How does Dino ERP prevent double-booking?

Availability is tracked per item, and availability blocks reserve an item for a period, for example for maintenance or a confirmed hire. Orders check against these periods so the same item is not committed twice for overlapping dates.

How is rental pricing calculated?

Rate cards define the price of an item for rental periods, and the pricing quote calculates the charge for the dates you enter. The result flows into the quotation and order so the customer sees the same figure at each step.

What happens at handover and return?

A handover records the item leaving, and a return inspection records its condition when it comes back. If there is damage, a damage charge can be added to the customer’s billing. Extensions let you lengthen a hire without creating a new order.

How are deposits and recurring billing handled?

Deposits are collected and later refunded or applied, and long rentals can be billed on a recurring schedule. Charges flow into finance invoices so they appear in receivables and the ledger.

Are rental orders subject to approval and permissions?

Yes. Rental orders are one of the document types the approval engine supports, so you can route them by amount or branch. Access to each rental screen uses Dino ERP’s permission keys and branch scope.
