How Reports & dashboards works

Which reports does Dino ERP include?

Financial reports include trial balance, general ledger, profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, AR and AP aging, customer and supplier ledgers, tax summary, cost centres and budget variance. Operational reports cover sales, CRM, purchasing and inventory.

  • Inventory: stock on hand, valuation, aging, dead stock, movements, batch expiry, turnover

Can I export reports to Excel, CSV or PDF?

Yes. Every report can be exported as CSV, Excel (XLSX) or PDF. Large exports run as background jobs and are available from your exports list when ready, and exports are recorded in the audit trail.

Does Dino ERP have dashboards?

Yes. The dashboard shows KPI sections filtered by the permissions of the person viewing it, so executives, managers and staff each see what they are allowed to see, alongside what is waiting for their approval.

Can I build my own reports and schedule them?

Yes. The report builder lets you pick from a whitelisted catalogue of data sources and columns, run the report, and save it. Saved reports can be scheduled with a cron expression and e-mailed to users or addresses as CSV, Excel or PDF.

Who can see which reports?

Access is enforced by the backend with separate view and export permissions for each area (sales, purchasing, inventory, finance, payroll). Reports respect branch scope, and fields such as cost and margin are hidden from users who lack the matching permission.

Do reports run on a copy of the data?

No. Reports read from the same live ledger and operational tables as everyone else, and only posted ledger lines feed financial statements, so drafts do not distort the numbers. Reports are read-only.

Reports & dashboards: questions buyers ask

Can I filter reports by branch?

Yes. Reports can be narrowed to a branch, and a user’s permissions decide which branches they can see at all.

Are scheduled reports sent by e-mail?

Yes. Saved reports can be scheduled and delivered by e-mail as CSV, Excel or PDF, using the mailbox you configure for Dino ERP.

Can I drill down from a total to the documents?

Yes. Statements link through to the underlying documents so you can trace a figure to its source.

Is there a limit to the export size?

Large exports are processed in the background rather than in the browser request, and scheduled e-mail attachments are capped at about 8 MB.

Do I need a separate BI tool?

Not for standard reporting. The built-in reports, builder and exports cover most needs; you can still export data to a BI tool of your choice.
